Kevin Bacon has revealed that he has an interesting method of avoiding embarrassment at weddings. The Hollywood star told Conan O?Brien he bribes wedding DJs to not play ?Footloose?, the theme from his 1984 hit film of the same name.
Bacon finds it hard to avoid the role that shot him to fame but paying off DJs over the years has apparently helped. He also claimed that he does it for the sake of the newlyweds also. He told Conan ?I go to the disc jockey and hand him $20 and say, ?Please don?t play that song?. A wedding is really not about me, it?s about the bride and groom and it?s embarrassing.?
Bacon also admitted when the song was played in the past, guests have expected an impromptu performance. He said ?It?s awful. Just awful. I try to avoid that if possible.?
Bacon is currently starring in Fox horror drama, The Following, which is set to return for its second series.
