A local salon is holding a event to raise awareness about the important of oral health for breast cancer patients.
Square Salon, 1225 S. Fort Apache Road, will be holding a benefit for Smiles for Survivors Saturday, Oct. 5.
The event starts at 2 p.m. Participants will get a chance to get a blow out with conditioning treatments, along with champagne and hors d'oeuvres. That part of the event ends at 6 p.m.
From 7 to 11 p.m., there will be cocktails, food, silent auction and live entertainment.
People interested in the event can get tickets that include admission to the party, a blow out and conditioning treatment for $65. For admission to just the evening cocktail party, tickets are $40.
Tickets can be purchased at Square Salon (702) 255-7050, or Hillcrest Dental (702) 395-1088.
While fighting cancer, many patients express side effects that damage their oral health. The Smiles for Survivors Foundation helps breast cancer survivors pay for dental treatments.
